TheNE8051isanintelligentdevicethatperiodicallypingstheareasurroundingthebasestationtodetectamobiledeviceforchargingwhileminimizingidlepower.Oncethemobiledeviceisdetectedandauthenticated,theNE8051continuouslymonitorsallcommunicationsfromthemobiledevice,andadjuststhetransmittedpoweraccordinglybyvaryingtheswitchingfrequency,dutycycleorphaseoftheinverter.
